Bloombooard is built local-first. No account required. No cloud sync. Everything is stored on your device — fast, private, and always available.

🏠 What "local-first" means: Your data is written to your device first — not a server. The app works fully offline, opens instantly, and never asks you to log in just to see your tasks.
Most modern productivity apps store your data on their servers and stream it to your device. If their servers go down, you're locked out. If they shut down, your data disappears. If they get breached, your data is exposed.
Bloombooard flips this. Your data is written to your Mac first. The app reads from your device, not a remote server. You own your data completely — not us.
Bloombooard uses your browser's localStorage to store everything locally. Here's exactly what lives where:
Bloombooard launches directly into your workspace. There's no registration screen, no email verification, no password to forget. You download it, open it, and it's ready.
✅ This means we have no user database. We don't store your name, email address, or any identity information unless you purchase a paid plan (handled by Polar.sh — not us).
Because your data lives on your device, Bloombooard works perfectly without an internet connection. Every feature that doesn't explicitly require the internet — tasks, boards, notes, streaks, timers, goals — works offline.
Features that do require internet (optional):
All optional. The core app always works, online or off.
Team chat, presence, and shared invoice pages require real-time sync — so they use your own Supabase project as a backend. This is a database you control, not one we operate.
The data in your Supabase (team messages, presence timestamps, invoice records) belongs to you. You can view, export, or delete it directly from your Supabase dashboard at any time.
All solo productivity features remain fully local even if you use team features.
Because Bloombooard stores data locally, you have complete control:
